When it comes to shoes

When it comes to shoes, high heels and high heeled boots that I really want, but I just turned 30 and has led to a mini-crisis of all kinds. I had to do something big to prove something (although I'm not sure what you have or ...), so I enrolled in the half-marathon race in Cleveland on May 16.

Importantly, most who had never raced before training for this race is 8 miles ... times. And as I run the races are races of 5 km, so needless to say there was much work ahead. It took 18 weeks of training, and in the first weeks, I was truck in a couple of years Asics running shoes. I started with some symptoms of plantar fasciitis, and I think I have a varus fifth toe on his right foot. Sounds like a good and scary at the same time, and I assure you is definitely the last.

Bunionette swear off after a trip to New York, where he had what my husband calls me "sexy boots." The sexy "is out of my boots, sometimes a full day at the Met and a walk to buy a bottle of wine with dinner at an Indian restaurant called narcotic 6 Cream II (incidentally, the cream is BYOB II, not were taking during the trip or something similar). Therefore, I was limping, trying to cross the intersection without being beaten, when he finally gave in and bought a pair of boots with heels flat K-Mart. I had not realize that apparently was immediate relief, and that was all that mattered at that time.

But from that day, I was unable to lace my shoes strictly to all. In fact, they are cowards because they can get without my feet completely, and sometimes I have pain still. I also bought an expensive pair of Brooks running shoes with lots of forefoot and heel cushioning. But it still was not satisfied.

Running barefoot?

A little later, the research, I found an incredible option - running barefoot. Now I live in northern Ohio, running barefoot is not really an option in the long years. The closest thing, I thought, was to get a pair of Vibram FiveFinger. Vibram has existed for over 70 years making high quality rubber soles. They were actually the first company to create rubber soles for mountaineering in 1930. In 2005, they released the FiveFingers, a glove that is the bare foot or walking much easier, and since then there have been improvements in this technology. The first seemed to FiveFingers shoes, but now there FiveFingers with straps, which covers everything and even made a couple of extreme temperatures.

When I took my partner out of the box, I was amazed at how light they were, what was left of them. I pushed him and has spent the last attempt to unravel before your toes and put in the right places. Took a few tries, but finally I managed to drag a bit spreading fast fingers. As for these shoes is better than being barefoot. I know it sounds strange, but it is absolutely true, that offer little stability "more flexibility without sacrificing the natural movement of the foot. In addition, the rubber bottom provides adequate protection to feel safe walking around. (During one of my tracks had to run through a mess of broken glass bottle, but rather small for all the three seconds it took, I never felt anything!)

I read very slowly on the trigger to run barefoot, so I started to do my exercises in the form of them, and gradually worked up to 60 minutes running shoes. The first thing I noticed is that I felt I had options when it came to the kick. I could go on strike with the heel or cash whenever clomp, which was fine, but when I moved to my front foot tread on the ball of the foot, almost at my feet, is striking. I felt like I was super light, and had plenty of spring in my step. Despite my progress in the short kick my state still does not seem to affect significantly the time. I really felt almost too good to run well, and I refused, returning to a more kick stand for a while, but eventually returned to the ball of the foot and stayed there for the rest of my career. They also tend to be too pronator when I run, and I had no problem with my ride. Instead of going to the outside of the foot, seemed to have a nice, well, the kick plate. Not in performance issues most likely - is the next day. My legs have always been extra tight and painful the day after the races, but I realized that if I have a little "extra time runs very well, which helped a lot.

Sprint

I started running a few that are open sprint at the top with a strap on the instep. When finished running in the sprint I realized that I had blisters on the bottom of the feet does not bother me, really. My first thought was, "Well, if this continues, these bubbles become streets, and not have to worry about the pain." Union heel tab was a bit "rough and does not rub on the back of my ankle a little." I also noticed immediately a bruise / blister thing this type of blood at the bottom of the big toe of his left foot . But do not do much harm, and do not care. I really think that these things are caused by shoes is a bit too much, probably by an inch. I tried to run w / the straps pulled closer, which certainly helps.

Aesthetically, these shoes are a must lose. I wear these shoes all the time in the city, and I have a lot of praise. People reach out and touch my feet! I love being barefoot, but never dare go barefoot in public - dirt and germs can make me freak out. But with Sprint for my feet, I have no problem walking around. This is an absolutely wonderful experience.

KSO

I was curious to know if a smaller size would, however, so I tried a few KSOS inch (which is recommended in the size of the table as well.) These shoes offer more thigh coverage, which is essential if you forget. From barefoot, no doubt, and there is no barrier between the foot and shoe, all that is how the shoes are in constant friction. Although it may seem, there will be a big problem, half an hour later, you may have noticed a part of your foot is removed from this little piece of rock. It was the farthest KSOS, and runs on an indoor running track, treadmill, the soft soil and cement have been great experiences, but I prefer to run on softer ground on them. They are not waterproof, but the foot is still very sweaty, so I thought it was a big problem I ran into the mud and puddles in them. But about 15 minutes of running, I realized that I had formed blisters. At one point, running long distances, you will feel pain if the bubbles, knees, or maybe the hardware of his shirt to rub the skin. So while I knew a decent little blister, I continued and finished the race in 50 minutes. I had blisters, but the best part is that they were midway between the side of my foot and the bottom, that is a perfect place. When you place "regular" shoe, an area not affected by the shoe, and I was able to wear heels w / night without any problems, even if you hit the tape in case assistance. It turns out that the priest was not necessary at all. Also note that I went a half mile more or less what I normally do during a race in 50 minutes, probably because of the short step that I mentioned earlier.

There are five fingers socks, so I tried a couple with my future KSOS on some tracks. Two of these songs were made for some very heavy rains that struck me a lot of puddles and a lot of mud. It was incredible. Although my feet were wet, were warm and protected. I felt like a child running in the wet grass, puddles and wet cement. The traction was fantastic - I did not slip once. Even if I had to peel off my shoes and socks off my feet when I'm done, and socks are changed all the colors of the mud and burrs, my feet were still warm and absolutely free vial. It was worth the $ 12 I paid for the socks. My feet look a little fun with the socks and KSOS, but there are good and I also feel like socks added a minimal amount of cushion. E 'was great fun running in KSOS stockings, socks, and I recommend that if you run over the last 20 minutes. While it has increased my distance, time after my recovery was significantly lower. My legs are certainly not very difficult - but this is probably due in part to the amount of stretching I do after hours.

INFORMATION

Because the shoes are of minor importance, only that there is not much for them, must be a "little faster. I've noticed more wear on the seams on the fingers of the sprints, but KSOS seemed made of different materials is well attended. Perhaps the difference between dark matter and gray, however. Since I'm working really hard on these shoes will make your feet sweat, I wash and dry the couple, and in good condition ..
